All of MSC’s transactions are guided by a standard of excellence and integrity the company has set for itself.

Madison Street Capital has experience working with clients in 16 industries. In part, these industries include Healthcare, distribution, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics. MSC’ success is in part attributable to the company’s knowledge of corporate finance and corporate governance.

When WLR Automotive Group needed capital to increase the size of their express car wash operation they turned to Madison Street Capital. WLR Automotive Group is a chain of car washing/detailing, auto repair, lubrication, and detailing shops based out of Maryland.

Madison Street helped WLR raise the money it needed through a lease/sale back transaction. A lease/sale back is when a company sells an asset and then leases it back from the buyer. One reason for doing this would be to raise money while retaining use of the asset. The lease is usually a long-term arrangement.

The transaction was the result of a collaborative effort. Barry Petersen a Senior Managing Director at Madison Street Capital worked with STREAM Capital Partners’ Managing Partner Jonathan Wolfe put the deal together.

The lease/sale back involved five of WLR’s locations. The company’s CEO Randall S. Simpson praised the transaction stating,”The transaction…has afforded us the opportunity to…expand our reach into the car wash market at a much quicker pace”. WLR CFO Jacquie Jenkins also lauded the efforts of Petersen and Wolfe.

The WLR Automotive Group lease/sale back drew the attention of M&A Advisor a media outlet serving the Mergers and Acquisitions Industry. During the 16th Annual M&A Awards their efforts on behalf of WLR garnered Madison Street Capital the Debt Financing Deal of the Year Award. The ceremony was held last November in New York City’s Metropolitan Club.

To appreciate the significance of this award you have to consider that MSC was up against 650 other contenders. CEO Charles Botchway accepted the award on behalf of Madison Street Capital. The Boutique Investment Banking Firm of the Year and Financials Deal of the Year are two other awards that Madison Street was considered for.
